September 11–14, 2025 • Four nights of the best sketch comedy from Seattle and beyond
SEATTLE, WA — September 8, 2025 — SketchFest Seattle, the world’s original sketch comedy festival, returns September 11–14 to the Market Theater at Pike Place Market, presented by Unexpected Productions. Over four laugh-packed nights, audiences will see tightly crafted, high-energy sketch comedy from standout local teams alongside rising stars from across the U.S. and Canada—spanning smart satire, surreal bits, musical sketches, and everything in between.
“SketchFest is a celebration of the most distilled form of live comedy—short, punchy, and meticulously honed,” said Zak Nelson festival producer. “Whether you love razor-sharp political sketches or gloriously weird premises that go off the rails, this weekend is built to surprise you.”

What Is Sketch Comedy?
If you’ve seen Saturday Night Live, The Kids in the Hall, I Think You Should Leave, or A Black Lady Sketch Show, you’ve experienced sketch: short, scripted scenes that are written, rehearsed, and performed live for a concentrated comedic hit. SketchFest Seattle has championed this art form for more than two decades, giving performers a festival stage and audiences a front-row seat to new voices and new ideas.
