On the Spot Show: Writer's Open Mic
About The Show

What do you get when you cross Unexpected Productions improv with a slew of word lovers? ON THE SPOT! On the Spot is an open mic that mingles writers with improvisers. Please join us for a special On the Spot December 20th featuring renowned storyteller Auntmama.

Auntmama is a story, and she helps everyone else tell their story. She leads the Seattle Storytellers Guild and hosts a show on 91.3 KBCS.

“The Stranger” deemed her “authentic without being cheesy.” Her tales weave wonders of electric change and world tours in miniature pitchers.

Bring your own stories, poems or improvisational impulses and contemplate time in the SPOTlight. Before the show, come to a writing circle where we’ll break out a rash of writing prompts. (Get it? Rash, as in SPOTs?)

Date: December 20
Venue: Unexpected Productions' Market Theater, 1428 Post Alley (at the gum wall in Pike Place Market)
Time: Show, 7:00. Doors and sign ups, 6:30. (Writing circle, 5:30.)
