12/31/05 New Years Eve party with XTREME THEATRESPORTS™!
Don’t miss our New Years Eve celebration featuring XTREME THEATRESPORTS™! This is Seattle’s only fast paced comedy improv battle with 16 improvisers split up into 4 teams and scored with cards marked 0-5 which are rotated throughout the audience. That’s right! This match is scored by YOU! Xtreme teams will perform from 10pm to ALMOST MIDNIGHT when the COUNT DOWN BEGINS!  PRIZES are provided by ARCHIE MCPHEE in Ballard! Stick around for the NEW YEARS PARTY! 12/06/05 UP cast member on ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire!’
UP cast member DANO BEAL was on the hit game show “Who Wants to be a Milionaire!” Because of his award as America’s Teacher of the Year sponsored by Disney, ‘Millionaire’ invited him to be part of ‘Teacher Week!’ He didn’t win the million, but he had loads of fun!

11/24/05 An Improvised Christmas Carol opens in it’s 20th Year!
This “holiday anti-classic” (Seattle Weekly) has pleased generations of audiences since 1985!  The popularity of this show continues to grow playing to sell out crowds in Seattle and beyond. This show has also been performed at various locations throughout the northwest. Don’t miss this show!

UP original show CAMPFIRE is in it’s tenth year and is still a Halloween favorite among Seattlites looking for a spooky show!

10/29/05 UP improvises at ILLUSIONZ!

9/23/05 MP3 Rocks Theatresports™!
Dance Off 2005 champions, MP3 (“Movement to the power of 3″), will make a special appearance as guest judges for Theatresports on Friday September 23 at 10:30.  At the end of the show, MP3 will perform an encore of their winning dance routine. NOTE: This show will likely sell out quickly, so get tickets now!

8/26/05 Improvathon begins at 6pm Friday to midnight Saturday!

8/18/05 Dance Battle Royale! 8pm
Who got served?!  Dance teams compete for the title of DBC (Dance Battle Champions) This is the first time this event will be held at the Market Theater! Be there by 8pm. Free admission! Free beer while it lasts! Sponsored by Rainer Beer!

Improvisers from all over the world will come together once again to perform and workshop improvisation!

6/2/05 General Fools play the Market Theatre!
Come see the General Fools Improv show straight out of Regina, Saskatchewan! These guys are funny and witty as well as Canadian… so you know they’ll be good!

5/22/05 Bob Dassie Workshops!
Bob Dassie is originally from Chicago where he toured with The Second City and performed at the Improv Olympic for several years. He has been involved in a variety of improvised and scripted shows including the musical “Baby Wants Candy” and the jazz inspired, yet non-musical “trio” & “quartet.”  He co-wrote and performed the critically acclaimed, two-person comedy revue “WeirDass: UnMentionables” and was a Demon Tour Guide in the smash hit “Hollywood Hell House.”  He is also among the three person cast featured in the Aspen-accepted short film “Jakarta Boom-Boom which was derived from the improvised show “Dasariski.” Currently he can be seen at the Improv Olympic West in “The Armando Show”, “Cog” and the Los Angeles branch of “Baby Wants Candy.”

5/14/05 Joe Flaherty comes to town!
SCTV’s Joe Flaherty brings sketch writing experience to workshop at Unexpected Productions. Unexpected Productions in cooperation with Humber College of Toronto is proud to present “The Art of Sketch Writing with Joe Flaherty and David Flaherty”. The workshop will be held May 14th & 15th at the Market Theater, home to Unexpected Productions.

4/22/05 NICK LICATA at Theatresports™!
City Council Member NICK LICATA makes a guest appearance at Theatresports to promote the up coming “Seattle Live Theatre Week!” It’s an honor to have Mr. Licata at our show to kick off the event HE conceived! Unexpected Productions is proud to be a part of it!

3/1/05 March Master Classes!
It’s time again for the Unexpected Productions’ specialty classes. This round will feature HAROLD and VOICE SOUNDS, AND STORY.

2/22/05 Keith Johnstone workshop at Unexpected Productions
Legendary improv guru Keith Johnstone is coming to town! His improv workshops will run 2/22-24 6:30 to 10pm.

1/20/05 Auditions today!
Auditions for the UP Ensemble will take place from 6-10pm on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 20-21, with callbacks (if needed) Saturday and Sunday, Jan 22-23, from noon-5pm.

1/12/05 UP performs for the Gates foundation at EMP with Bill and Melinda Gates!
Members of Unexpected Productions performed an improv show for the Gates Foundation at Experience Music Project, Seattle WA. Bill and Melinda Gates join the fun when they get up and help the players in an improv scene called pillars. Periodically throughout the scene, the players would point at Bill or Melinda and they would respond with whatever came to their brilliant minds! The players would then incorporate that in the scene!

1/7/05 Hogan Cup Dream Team #1
This date marks the first time NW area high school students participating in our Hogan Cup Improv Showdown will combine to form one mighty improv ensemble! Two students each shall be chosen to represent their school in this event with 12 schools in the mix!
